The American Federation of Labor (AFL) was the first federation of labor unions in the U.S. in 1886. This pin is specifically for International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Stablemen & Helpers of America which is the largest private-sector labor union in the U.S. This branch represents truck drivers and workers in related industries, formed in 1903. The horses represent the original vehicles of delivery men; horse-drawn carriages, later replaced in the 30’s by intercity truck drivers. There is rich history connected to this 7collectible pin!
