Do you have a military collector in your family? This 1936 Machine Gunners’ Manual is almost impossible to find. The manual includes charts, illustrations, and pictures. It also has a fold-out range chart - Trajectory and Safety Chart (extract) – and a removable Trajectory and Safety Chart for the 30 cal. machine gun.
The manual is hardback and is in good condition given its age and purpose. There is some weakness in the interior binding, but that is to be expected given that it was to be used in training. Please see all pictures for condition flaws.
I strongly suspect – but cannot confirm – that the manual was prepared for the U.S. Calvary. It was written by a cavalry officer, includes pictures of mounted cavalry soldiers, and references how light and heavy machine guns are carried by horseback.
The manual is a great addition to any military collector’s bookcase!
