Original Vintage MGM Movie Photo Still (8x10) Joan Crawford, Husband (1943)

This light-hearted vintage movie photo still (8 1/4” x 10”) to promote 1943 spy film “Above Suspicion” is in very good-very fine condition. Since this is an original, 80 year old vintage still photo, it has one or two very slight imperfections around edges as routinely found in vintage photographs. The posed “candid” image of one of MGM’s biggest stars, Joan Crawford, getting her fingernails polished while chatting with her then-husband, Phillip Terry, is in really excellent condition. It really is a fun image featuring a “peek” into Ms. Crawford’s life as a professional movie star balancing her career with her personal life during Hollywood’s Golden Age. Actor Phillip Terry, Joan’s third husband, was married to the star from 1942-1946. “Above Suspicion” starred Joan Crawford & Fred MacMurray in a pre-WW II espionage thriller. The plot follows two newlyweds who spy on Nazis in 1939 for British secret service during their honeymoon in Europe.
