This beautiful train case by Congress Luggage Corp is made of wood & covered in dark red alligator embossed faux leather with tan stitching. Has a sturdy dark red handle held on by antique brass hardware & two antique brass latches in front. Interior lined in a tan leather-like material with full rectangular shaped mirror in dark red faux leather holder in lid & a Congress Luggage Corp sticker attached below. Dimensions 13”L, 8 1/2”W, 7 1/2”H, 5 1/2”D. A rare find, Congress produced this style train case in 1950’s & in wonderful vintage condition. From age, has few markings, scuffs, light wear on sides & along all edges & few areas of missing stitching. No cracks, heavy wear or damage, no stains on exterior. Interior in good condition with slight markings & faint stains on bottom & sides & one peg missing under mirror which has few faint marks. No tears in tan leather, no chips, cracks in mirror, no cloudiness. See photos. Perfect for traveling, wonderful displayed open or closed.
