Vintage Beswick Brown Bay Horse Swish Tail Figurine - England. Founded in 1894 by James W. Beswick and Sons in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, Beswick Pottery initially produced earthenware and decorative items. In the 1930's, the company shifted to figurines, including realistic horses, particularly champion racehorses. The design by Arthur Gredington, model 1182, details a mahogany brown bay horse with black mane, ears and tail, white stockings and forehead with hand painted details. The horse is looking right with a swish tail. The Beswick company was acquired by Doulton & Co, Ltd in 1969 and the Beswick figures ceased in 2002. A keepsake figurine.
Preowned in very good condition with no repairs or issues. Beswick stamp on under belly
