This piece is numbered as design 428 on the backside
There is a slight dip in the man's sombrero, creases in his shirt & pants, while wearing a Tilmatli (Tilma apron) while wearing what appears to be an open basket - or Tussie Mussie - on this back that has some sort of black beads
This piece is most likely from the 1940s and marked on the backside "Los Castillos/Taxco/ Sterling/ Mexico/ 428"
This pin measures about 2 5/8" tall and 1 1/4" wide at its widest part, & weighs 20.4 grams
Amazing piece! This pin has patina/tarnishing, some spots and a curve to the stick pin. We're not exactly sure what's in the little basket; however, it appears to be some sort of black beads. Please view all pictures & please message with questions. Thank you!
