This stunning goldtone, vintage royal crown brooch with necklace bale probably hails from the early 1950s, when "royal fever" gripped everyone after Elizabeth II ascended the throne. This brooch has faux pearls, and outstanding, high glass cabochons in red, green, and blue. The goldtone has a few rough spots, but when you're approximately 70 years old, you're going to have a few imperfections, too. It's still perfectly wearable, and it really is a fabulous piece. It has undergone a sonic cleaning since these photos were taken, so there's no "gunk" anywhere. In excellent condition overall. Measures 1 3/4" wide, and weighs 9/10 of an ounce. Unsigned.
