Bruno Merli "Puppy Love" Vintage Capodimonte Home/Office Decor Sculpture Statue

Up for sale is a magnificent Bruno Merli “Puppy Love” vintage sculpture statue. It was first introduced in 1983 and retired in 1989. It's from the Bruno Merli Capodimonte Children's collection. This piece is about a boy who is standing holding a brown and white puppy. The boy has a cute pop belly and is wearing beige overall jeans and a long sleeve white shirt. His hair is curly brown. He has adorable realistic detailed features with his red cheeks and red lips. His eyes are mesmerizing grey. His wearing white sneakers and is standing on a patch of grass. There is another puppy near his leg waiting for the boy to pick it up. Some of the areas of the statue are glazed and the other areas are matte. It's 7 1/4" tall and 3 3/8" wide. It's displayed on the wooden base. The artist's signature is displayed on the bottom front. This figurine is in excellent vintage condition. No cracks or chips.
