VINTAGE STERLING MARCASITE BROOCH WITH CLIP FASTENER STAMPED ART DECO 10/18/25

This is a brooch, made of sterling silver and marcasite.The brooch made of sterling silver, is adorned with numerous small, faceted stones. These stones are marcasite, which is a form of pyrite often used in jewelry to create a sparkling, antique look it has a stamp but is very hard to read. The design is abstract, with a fluid, stylized shape that could be interpreted as a flower or a ribbon. It features both smooth, polished metal sections and textured areas covered in the marcasite stones, creating a contrast in finish. Brooches of this style, featuring sterling silver and marcasite, were popular during the Art Deco period and experienced a revival in the mid-to-late 20th century. This one is from an estate sale and needs a good polishing but I’ll leave that to the buyer in case you want the vintage patina left on it.
