Collectible “MORNING GLORY PIG Planter” heavy bodied-glazed ceramic, rare, very unique, vintage, circa 1950’s
A chunky, hefty heavy glazed ceramic pottery pig wearing a what looks like a morning glory or petunia flower for a hat! She's got dimples, a curly tail, and an opening at the back for a few plant cuttings or dry arrangement. Pretty clean inside, but I'll give her a good dusting before she goes off to her new home. There is an embossed mark on the bottom shown in photo # 5--which looks like USA and below that is #60. There is some crazing on the bottom part, but doesn't detract from her solid feel and ability to hold water for plant cuttings.
From snout tip to tail tip: 8”; from hooves to top of flower: 5”; side to side at her widest: 4 ¼”.
This Collectible is very unique and vintage and are in excellent-great condition, that has been kept in my home (smoke-free and pet-free).
