Vintage Antique Set of Man & Woman Chalk Ware String Holders in good vintage condition no cracks, it has a few little chips & marks but not bad for their age. They are approx 8” each. Please review all photos zoom in. Used in butcher shops & kitchens everywhere to hold string to tie things up, like roasts, chicken, other. Maker is know but they could possibly be Miller Studios or one of many others. Will make a nice addition to your country style kitchen the man looks very dapper with his top hat & pipe in his mouth & she reminds me of a Pennsylvania Dutch Amish woman very proper with her bonnet or babushka. Both have Rosie puffy cheeks and little smiles you can hang them looking at each other or away!
