Very wearable 28” waist original pure silk dress from around 1910. Sometime in the 1930’s the lining was replaced with a sturdier material and a zip was added, which saved the dress from decay and can either be easily removed to be replaced by a more authentic reproduction or worn without a corset but still retain the look and cut of the original.

There are a few small repairs needed, the tissue silk backing of the train needs to be replaced and the backing on the long train but both are an easy fix.

Truly an absolutely incredible dress, the antique lace, pearl beading and detail is remarkable. Silk is very strong, no tears rips or shattering.

I have held off removing the creases with a steamer as is best done a little as possible to keep the silk in fine condition, however a professional can easily do this once repaired.
