Rogers, Smith & Co. was a partnership formed in 1857 by William Rogers Sr. and George W. Smith to manufacture silver-plated and Britannia ware. The company was based in Hartford, Connecticut. In 1861, it merged with Rogers Brothers Mfg. Co. Later, tools and dies were sold to Meriden Britannia Co., who continued producing the 1847 Rogers Bros. line. The company ceased to exist as a separate firm when the International Silver Co. was formed in 1898.
