Vintage Taxco sun brooch. Acquired from a private estate collection, this celestial Mexican pin was handcrafted from solid sterling silver with the “married metals” inlay technique of copper (sun center), brass (sun rays) and crushed lapis for the background. Stamped 925 POM Taxco Mexico with Eagle 3 stamp on back. Large size of 2” diameter. Good pre-owned condition with natural patina on metal elements and some wear spots to lapis inlay as pictured, but only adds to the authentic vintage character.
