Antique hand engraved mother of pearl souvenir pendant from the 1902 Ontario Fair, connected to the final annual exposition held at the former Benton Barracks fairgrounds in St. Louis. These shell pieces were popular keepsakes sold at fairs during the late Victorian to early Edwardian period. Made from natural iridescent mother of pearl with the original metal clasp riveted in place. Marked Ontario Co Fair 1902 on the back. Rare early souvenir that has survived intact.
