Vintage Polaroid OneStep Sonar AutoFocus 600 Instant Film Camera

This is an awesome vintage instant film camera produced and released by the iconic camera manufacturer Polaroid in 1978. It works best with SX-70 Polaroid Instant film which can still be purchased today at several retailers. However I’ve found it also works well in good lighting with Polaroid 600 Film which is even more widely available.

This unit has been cleaned and tested for functionality. The camera acts as expected. The battery terminal connects properly to the pack in the film, the shutter fires well, tongue and rollers work as expected. Overall great working condition unit. Due to age it does show small signs of wear on its exterior, just small scratches/chips.

To focus, the camera sends sound waves through the grid on the left side to determine the distance to the subject. The exposure is measured by the Pronto! Sonar, Low-light warnings are displayed in the camera’s viewfinder. The lens in the camera is fixed and has a fixed focal length, so zooming is not possible.
