Elegant late-Victorian / early-Edwardian brass desk blotter with a richly detailed neoclassical design of torch and urn surrounded by scrolling acanthus. Originally used to dry fresh ink on correspondence, this handsome writing accessory now makes a wonderful collectible or display piece for a period desk or study.
Material: Cast brass top with original wooden base (takes standard blotting paper cut to size).
Era: c. 18901910
Condition: Very good antique condition with natural patina and light age wear. No structural issues; paper insert not included.
