A vintage statue made by Austin Productions in 1978 of a Claude LeClerc work, "Happily Ever After." The statue is of a newlywed pair holding each other and a bouquet of flowers (would make a nice wedding gift). Their faces and their clothes show beautiful detail and artistry. The back is marked "AUSTIN PROD INC 1978 LeClerc". This item is in very good preowned condition with little wear from age. The attached wood base is missing its title plaque. Otherwise, this item is in great condition and ready to display.
With the base, the statue measures approx. 15" tall. The wood base is 5-1/2" long x 4-3/4" deep (front to back).
The casting procedure used by Austin Sculpture was: “The caster puts steel armatures, or supports, into the mold. He then mixes the DURASTONE — a special formulation of crushed stone — into a slurry which is then poured slowly into the mold.
