This sterling silver ring features a large, teardrop-shaped Golden Hills turquoise gemstone with a matte finish. The stone is a distinctive powder blue hue with a prominent reddish-brown matrix. The gemstone is set within a simple sterling silver bezel, which is surrounded by a twisted rope design. The 3.4mm band is a split shank design with a brushed, or matte, patina finish. The ring is sized at 8 and is handmade with a “Sterling” hallmark. Golden Hills turquoise is a relatively rare and highly-sought-after gem that is sourced from the Altyn-Tyube mine in Kazakhstan, where it can only be mined during the winter due to flooding.
