Kujaku Yashi (Peacock Palm) Handmade Wooden Shaft Mechanical Pencil 0.5mm Black

This is a strange and rare item with a unique grain pattern resembling a black strawberry.
The fibers are intentionally oriented horizontally, creating a very interesting pattern.
Because it is prone to cracking when cut horizontally to the fibers, the manufacturing requires skill.
It took about three times longer than usual to slowly carve.
However, please be aware that cracks may appear if subjected to strong impacts or heat.

Can be changed to a ballpoint pen.

To make it easy to hold, the shape is designed to be widest slightly towards the nib from the center.

The sanding process uses grits from coarse to 1000. This creates a moderate gloss while allowing you to feel the natural texture of the wood.

The surface is cut repeatedly while checking to ensure there are no irregularities.

The finish uses Kinu Oil. The main ingredient is derived from rice, is tasteless and odorless, and is gentle on the skin.

Scientific name: Caryota urens
The specific gravity is 0.9-1, making it a very large and durable wood.
The black fibers become dense towards the outside of the tree trunk.
It is used for flooring, walking sticks, knife handles, and Buddhist prayer beads.

Can be changed to a ballpoint pen.
If you choose ballpoint pen hardware, the weight will increase by approximately 5g.
