This is a gorgeous Cambridge Glass Company Bashful Charlotte and it is in pristine condition. It is made with Uranium Glass and it Glows. Please see the second picture. It is very large and very heavy. It has 12 holes to put flowers in them. That was the original use for this piece.
Cambridge Glass Company introduced a flower holder (we now call them flower frogs) with the figure of a lady holding an armful of flowers. A patent for this piece was applied for in 1926 and granted in 1927. Subsequently, the company produced a number of different figural flower frogs, categorized below. The names used are not official Cambridge names, but instead are names given to the various pieces by collectors.
Draped Lady
The first figural flower frog we show is the most commonly found. This one is called “Draped Lady”, and she comes in three sizes: 8, 12 and 13 inches high. (The actual measurements are 8 1/2″, 12 1/2″ and 13 1/4″).
