Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) punch cup from the late 1880s, made by Atterbury & Company in Pittsburgh, PA. Known as the "Swan with Ring Handle" pattern, it features a detailed embossed swimming swan on both sides of the body, with outstretched wings and elegant neck curving gracefully
The cup is crafted in a rich dark amber (sometimes described as chocolate brown) pressed glass. It has a pedestal footed base for stability, an ornate applied handle with decorative ring and bead-like details, and a smooth interior. Typical of authentic EAPG pieces, the base shows faint crossed mold seams (a thin "X" mark) from the original pressing process - no manufacturer's signature, as most Atterbury items were unmarked
Excellent vintage condition for its age (over 130 years old!). Minor signs of age include a couple of tiny chips on the bottom rim of base that are barely visible, some minor top rim wear and light interior haze from years of past use
3.5 inches tall, 3 inches diameter
