Vintage GOLDETTE Three-Strand Gold-Tone Chain Moonstone Pendant Sautoir Necklace
This classic Goldette three-strand sautoir necklace features a large three-dimensional gold-tone pendant with a large faux moonstone on either side, as well as two moonstones around the circumference.
The three chains have paper-clip or Greek-key style links, with the inner chain (which holds the pendant) and the middle chain each featuring two faux moonstone chicklets, while the longest chain features three. The chains graduate from matinee length (62 cm or ~24") to slightly longer than opera length (88 cm or ~34.6").
The necklace fastens with a lovely filigree "butterfly" fold-over clasp, which is marked "Goldette ". Dating from either the late 1950s or early 60s, this multi-strand necklace is a great example of Goldette's jewelry style.
