Selling a very rare, early 1940s Bulova Conrad men's watch. This model is 14 karat solid gold filled.
Cosmetic condition: The dark brown reptile leather band is brand new and in perfect condition. Rose gold-colored case is in fair condition with minor wear. The raised crystal has a few minor scratches but overall good condition. The dial has some signs of wear and corrosion as shown, mostly on the bottom edge. It is a textured brown color with blued steel hands.
Movement: This model uses the original Bulova 8AE mechanical (manual winding) movement. The balance wheel does move freely and appears to keep time; however, the hands do not move, so it will need a minor repair. This watch also has a separate small-seconds hand that is missing and will need to be replaced.
Very cool piece for the right buyer - it needs a bit of love, but this is a unique piece of history!
