Carol Christian Poell Wool Coat from A/W2005 ‘Instant’ Collection This coat is a masterpiece of craftsmanship, showcasing quintessential Carol Christian Poell design. The slim cut features pagoda shoulders, elongated proportions, and articulated gussets for movement without compromising the sharp silhouette. This garment is almost entirely handmade, and the quality of this piece is absolutely spectacular. Most edges (eg. lapel, collar, pocket flaps and cuffs) feature pick-stitching done by hand to an extremely high standard. The buttonholes are hand-stitched. Finally, the CCP label on the chest is hand-sewn. A piece that feels incredible when worn but could also be appreciated in a museum display.
