Two hand-carved wooden sculptures from Cuba, representing folk art and the countries love of music including Cuban salsa, bachata, samba and merengue. One figure is female musician, holding maracas or a similar percussive instrument. The other figure is a male, wearing a hat and a suit-like outfit, possibly depicting a dancer or singer. Both figures are made of wood, and their unpainted or lightly stained appearance suggests a natural or rustic aesthetic, common in folk art.
