Beautiful handwoven sweetgrass basket in the traditional South Carolina Lowcountry style. These baskets are part of the historic Gullah Geechee basket-making tradition and are still handmade today using natural sweetgrass and palmetto fibers.
This shallow oval tray form is perfect to use as a bread basket, entryway catchall, coffee table styling piece, or shelf accent. Lovely natural tones with darker wrapped rim accents add authentic Southern folk art character.
