Most of the Alpenflage helmet covers you see online today are the more common 4-hook style made to fit the M71 helmet. These earlier 5 hook covers are very rare!
This cover is in mint unissued condition. The colors are vibrant, and the fabric is clean with no signs of wear, tears, or fading. It's a perfect piece to complete a M18/40 helmet or for a collection. It fits both A or B shell sizes.
* RARE 5-hook configuration: This is the key detail that separates it from the common M71 covers. The five hooks are spaced to properly secure to the distinct rim of the M18/40.
* Drawstring adjustment: An integrated cord allows you to cinch the cover tight around the helmet for a secure fit.
