This is a Navaho, fetish Frog necklace. It features a Turquoise Frog plus 4 Turquoise discs. The Turquoise is natural.
Necklace portion is probably sterling silver, though I see no hallmark (this is typical of Indian jewelry of the time). Sterling silver is 92.5% but Native American craftsmen often used coin silver which was 90% pure.
The frog is 1 inch wide. The necklace is 16 inches long. Weight is 13 grams.
This amphibian is symbolic of water and cleansing. The Frog is the sixth Stone in the Centre of the Medicine Wheel.

It is both NEW and vintage. It was made prior to 1976. It is from our boutique that is now closed.
