Made in Italy Rosy Doll.
Vintage.
I bought a collection of dolls from a woman who also bought them all together. We had a brief conversation about them with speculation on the country of origin etc. Much of what we thought was wrong.
When I did my research to find out more about each doll, it turns out that all of them were made in the 40s in different European countries and they were souvenir dolls in traditional dress.
History tells me that Europe was not great vacation destination in the 40s because WW2 was going on the same countries.
My educated guess is that these were bought by an American soldier for a little girl back home in the United States.
This is a vintage piece and signs of wear and age are to be expected. Please inspect pictures carefully. I try to catch all flaws and defects, but can miss something. Please dont hesitate to ask questions.
