This is a First Edition copy (hardcover book) of the novel The Moon is Down by John Steinbeck.
This copy includes the dust jacket with the price marked at $2.00 (there's a name written on this flap...in pencil).
Copywrite pages states that it was published in 1942 by (published by Viking Press). First Printing possibly (I'm no expert).
The book is in very good condition (especially considering the vintage age of the book). The dustjacket has a lot of shelf wear and some small tears, but there's nothing major. The book itself is in very good shape.
Steinbeck is one of the best American authors of all time. He received both the Pulitzer Prize (for The Grapes of Wrath) and the Nobel Prize for Literature. His vast works include: Of Mice and Men, The Red Pony, East of Eden, The Winter of Our Discontent, etc.
