ANRI Ferrandiz Wood Carved 'Two Angels Reading a Book' Treasure Chest Music Box
This genuine hand crafted hand painted treasure chest music box was designed by the artist Juan Ferrandiz. His collaboration with ANRI allowed the ANRI Master carvers to bring many of his designs to life. Juan Ferrándiz passed away in August 1997, at the age of 79.
The ANRI box is made of wood and Ferrandiz' Toriart angels are made of composite material called Sculptulite. It looks and feels like wood. Toriart pieces are hand-crafted, hand-finished and hand-painted by artisans of ANRI, South Tyrol, Italy. The angels are presented in relief and beautifully set on gilded background. The Toriart label was sold from 1956 until 1992.
The exterior of the box has beveled edges and the interior is lined with durable red velvet.
