Vintage Zanesville Pottery art vase dating to the late 1920s–early 1930s. This example features a classic Arts & Crafts–era matte green glaze with a softly sculpted, organic form typical of Ohio pottery from this period.
The vase is 8½ inches tall and marked "101" on the underside, which corresponds to the Zanesville mold/form number. Zanesville pieces were often unmarked aside from form numbers and are frequently mistaken for Weller due to their similar regional style and glaze palette.
Condition is consistent with age and use. No cracks or repairs noted. Surface wear and minor imperfections are present, typical of vintage matte pottery (please see photos).
A nice example of understated American Arts & Crafts pottery from one of Ohio's important early 20th-century manufacturers.
