This is a genuine eelskin leather bag, color butterscotch. It is a little bit lighter color than it looks in the photo. The folds on the sides and the strap are a slightly darker color than the body of the purse (intentionally). The suede lining is gray. I wiped this down with a damp cloth after I found it, but otherwise I didn't try to clean the leather at all, as I know eelskin can be fragile. This doesn't feel fragile, but I am not that knowledgeable about leather care. So it has a few little specks, and they are in the photos.
The strap measures approx. 33" and the drop is 16"; it is not adjustable.
