7.25” plate. Turkish folkart. There are some compromises in the glaze around the edge and a small chip on the base- see last three photos.
ANATOLIAN – IZNIK glazed ceramic plate by ADIL CAN GUVEN who is a famous ceramic artist since early 80’s. He and his wife produced some traditional Anatolian ceramics with old design and techniques. Now their both sons are ceramic artists. They still produce some great samples in their own school workshop. A village girl depicted here with green branches and fruits – a depiction of Spring with awakening nature.
