This is a vintage item with signs of age as expected. I believe this piece is from before the’70s. It appears handmade.
It is not stiff, actually quite soft and easy to roll. Slight sheen on the material. No tag or makers mark . It’s a small piece, measure 12.5 inches wide and about 18.5 inches tall. My plan was to frame it in glass and use as wall decor. I would not use as a rug as it looks delicate. Bottom fringe is missing.
This was purchased at an eclectic estate sale in Palm Springs, California. There’s not much more I know about this piece. This piece reminds me of all things patina, weathered, aged, moody home decor. This is a beautiful antique and would make a great addition to one’s collection.
