This is a sturdy 12” plate, saffron, with bowl 1.5” deep and 7” wide, with a wide brim. Perfect for pasta, soup, stew or salad with room for a nice crusty bread and butter pat.

It’s also collectible.

I purchased these new in 2008 and they have never been used.

The number below the logo indicates the year of production. It appears to be 36-A (it’s a bit fuzzy). The final year of production was labeled 38 for 2009.

There are no utensil marks or signs of wear.

Syracuse China, located in a suburb of Syracuse, was a manufacturer of fine china. Founded in 1871 as Onondaga Pottery Company the company initially produced earthenware; in the late 19th century, O.P.Co., began producing fine china, for which it found a strong market particularly in hotels, restaurants, and railroad dining cars.

Later changing their name to match their product line, the company closed in April 2009.
