This is a sturdy 12” plate, warm blue color, with bowl 1.5” deep and 7” wide, with a wide brim. Collectible.

Perfect for pasta, soup, stew or salad with room for a nice crusty bread and a butter pat if you prefer to use it on the table rather than treat it as a collectible item.

This plate was purchased new in 2008 and is unused. The number below the logo appears to be 36-A, indicating the year of production. The final year was 2009, marked as 38.

Syracuse China, located in a suburb of Syracuse, New York, was a manufacturer of fine china. Founded in 1871 as Onondaga Pottery Company the company initially produced earthenware; in the late 19th century, O.P.Co., began producing fine china, for which it found a strong market particularly in hotels, restaurants, and railroad dining cars. The name was changed to Syracuse China.

The company closed in April, 2009.
