An excellent example by Merseyside based potter Simon Shaw with signature stamp on the main body of the vase. With a two tone textural finish, the main body is the nature terracotta finish with a green barium glaze to the top section. It is Romanesque in style, very urn like in shape with feature cylindrical handle detailing at the side. In good structural condition with no cracks or chips. The surface and the interior has some marks, signs of use.
