Ganz Candy Cookie Jar with Poem and Santa Head Lid
The poem on the front of the cookie jar reads:
Candy and cookies
and happy hearts,
that's the way
Christmas starts.
No known crazing, cracks, or other damage to this piece. Some shelf wear on the bottom, but the paper tag with item # imprinted is still on the jar. I doubt this piece has seen a dishwasher, so it was used for display or used sparingly. The paint around the rim of the jar is inconsistent, but unsure whether that's from wear or if it was the factory paint job. Lid lifts off.
The piece measures about 7" tall and about 5 1/2 - 6" at its widest point. Bottom diameter is 5" and the bowl is 3" deep with a 4" opening.
