These are beautiful, peachy tan color with grain of the stone adding definition. Silky smooth and done to perfection.
They are signed, and I was happy to discover a You Tube video about the artist. He is the owner of a quarry in Kenya, Kisii, Tabuka . The video discusses the challenges the carvers face in having only primitive tools to do this work, talks about the amount of time and skill involved, and the taxation they are charged on them.
