This set is Vintage Schmidt Bros. Japan. Hand Painted Musical Figurines and bookends.
The Monkey plays "Feeling Groovy", The Lion plays "Over The Rainbow" And the book ends hold up the books.
I have had these since I was a teenager. (around 1977) I do not know where the animals originated from (i.e.: they are not disney...) My mother purchased these for me because I had a safari theme in my room, and no safari is complete until you have a monkey playing the cello and Feeling Groovy! And a lion getting hip and playing Over The Rainbow on the drums! I miss my Mom!
Size for the musicals is right around 7" tall for both
Lion bookends roughly 6" tall and 4 1/2" deep and 5" wide it also has a rubber like material on the bottom of both bookends (prevents sliding) One of them has a small tear in it.
No Chips, Cracks or Repairs for these items. All original and in excellent condition.
