An originalVintage Rene Burri Mundgeblasen Switzerland Glass Hand Blown Iridescent Sitting Chicken..This decorative chicken is so delicate you can almost see through it. The chicken is 3 1/2" H, 4" L, and 2 1/2" W and weighs only 1.2oz. It is a wonderful gift or something anyone can treasure. Comes in his original box.From his glass studio in the in the Swiss Alps, René Burri workstogether with his wife and several apprentices to create his whimsicalline of glass chickens and other animals. René uses a glass techniqueknow as "Lampwork" to handblow each piece. He starts with a hollowtube of clear glass. Colored pigment is brushed onto the glass tocreate the beautiful color striations and marbling effects. The tube isthen heated before a gas torch and René blows and forms the desiredobject by hand creating a truly unique gift
