Pair of beautiful vintage handmade needlepoint wall hangings. Pairs of yellow and blue parakeets on a cream background with foliage in shades of green. The use of a smaller stitching fiber on the heads of the birds provides detail and contrasting texture. Absolutely charming!
Framed in beveled wood frames with painted gold trim. Cardboard backing, wired for hanging. *Framed by original artist with cardboard and furniture nails. Backing was removed by me to reposition shifted artwork, and loose fitting vintage nails replaced with masking tape to better secure backing. See pictures 7 & 8 to get a rare peek at the back of these vintage pieces!
Measures 9.5” x 11.5” framed
Excellent vintage condition. Some wear to the frames consistent with age.
