Color of Tradition Original 300 Color Sample Kensai-kan Textile Junk Item

『Densho no Iro Original 300』 by Junichi Tanigawa, Published by Kensaikan, 50 sheets with 300 color samples, with explanations of traditional color names, 1979, cloth-bound box included.

This is "Densho no Iro Original 300," published by Kensaikan (currently Kensaikan International), which specializes in publishing color samples (color sample books) for textile design planning, color specifications, dyeing, and color management.
Although it is a professional book for textile professionals, the 300 colors featured represent the sense of color that the Japanese people have had since ancient times, and the elegant names given to them have a cultural background.
The previous owner has cut out some of the color samples, so this is a junk item.

■Condition■
The Velcro on the cloth-bound box is peeling, there is a tear in the corner of the inner box, and there are areas where the color samples have been cut out.
The smallest remaining color sample is "276 Beni Kakezora" (photo 16).
