This is the first leader work by Yoriyuki Harada, also notable for the participation of Tetsu Yamauchi.
This impactful first leader work was released in 1981 by Yoriyuki Harada, a jazz pianist and clarinetist known as a central figure in the legendary free jazz group "Seikatsu Kojo Iinkai Daikangekidan" (Life Improvement Committee Grand Orchestra). The participation of Tetsu Yamauchi, a world-renowned rock bassist who was also a member of Faces, is also noteworthy. This work was recorded with two units: the "Hentai-gumi" (Pervert Group) featuring Yamauchi and Tony Koba, a young and talented drummer at the time, and the "Shinsen-gumi" (Fresh Group) featuring Hiroshi Hatsuyama, Hideaki Mochizuki, and Yoshisaburo Toyozumi. The shocking sound, including the three tracks featuring Tetsu Yamauchi ("Meta," "Hentai Shichibyoshi," and "Wanao-ki"), is a treat to listen to. Bonus tracks include the unreleased solo piano piece "Solo" by Yoriyuki Harada.
