With a 5m waterproof function, it's an all-around outdoor camera that meets the needs of a wide range of users.
It was the world's smallest and lightest waterproof camera in its class at the time of release. The new design is presented with fresh materials of metallic white gold and clear green. Regarding waterproofing, it guarantees operation up to 5m and has buoyancy that allows it to float in water with film and batteries inside.
While the AF infrared light is absorbed by water underwater, making AF distance measurement impossible, it achieves appropriate depiction at 0.9-3m underwater and 0.45-0.9m underwater macro. It features a high-eye-point, big viewfinder that allows subject confirmation even through goggles, and large operating parts that can be operated even with gloves on. A sealed air layer is provided between the first and second lens elements to prevent condensation in cold regions. It is equipped with date/time, title, 6 types of PQI (print quality improvement information function), 6 types of strobe modes, and a self-timer.
