Vintage Ladies Feather Headband/ Half Hat. 1950's. Color is cream or eggshell. Labeled Urbi et Orbi Custom Hats Yokohama.
The design of this piece's metal band structure is uniquely curved and not symmetrical (see 2nd to last photo), almost "s" shaped. This results in a special look on both sides!
Feathers emerge from a trio of glass rhinestones on the left side and extend across the cream-colored satin wrapped band to end at just above the ear on the right. Extremely well made!
Measures approx. 5" at its widest when not in use (the band opens like a headband to fit on your head when worn) with the ability to fit wider.
Well cared for- small rust colored stains as seen near label on underside only.
Urbi et Orbi was a high end Japanese milliner in the 1950's and 60's, valued for their outstanding feather work. This piece is a show stopper!
