Russian Decorated Plate 1988 Soviet Era Ded Moroz Limited Edition 7.5"
Excellent Used Condition
Some sort of limited edition painted/decorated plate. The text on the back is almost all Cyrillic, but there's a small note in English that says the plate is not for food use and uses precious metallic pigments. The scene on the plate is a pretty detailed painting, it features a knight/hero on a horse with a shield he's blowing a horn and there's a maiden in the castle or walled city. In the sky is a man flying with a very long white beard and a red wand, he's holding something blue- maybe a bag. He looks Santa Claus like to me, but he could be a folk wizard of some sort.
