Rare Vintage Mayer New York Vintage Alligator Handbag

This beautiful Vintage Mayer New York Alligator Handbag is in wonderful condition. The handbag features one zippered pocket and two open pockets and is lined with genuine tan leather. Including with the item is the original coin zipper (made out of the same leather)

The outside of the purse is Alligator and the inside is Genuine Leather. The clasp and outside ornament features are made of brass and is in great condition for it's age. The bottom has four brass knobs to keep the purse standing, which is in great condition. Opening and closing it is wonderful for someone who likes to keep their purse shut at all times. In the photos shown, I had to hold it open with my hand to take a photo, or else the purse would simply close on it's own. Furthermore, the zipper and open pockets are in great shape. There is some dust inside from the age that can easily be cleaned; for someone who wants a deeper clean, an easy job with leather cleaner, would require a small amount of patience. I usually
